CHRISTMAS 2018 SERVICE SCHEDULE:
Saint Margaret's Episcopal Church is an exciting, vibrant, growing, and sacramentally centered parish in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion! Located in Waxhaw, North Carolina, we are located just south of Charlotte in one of the fastest growing counties of the state. We believe that this church is a special church; a church in which you will feel the presence of Jesus in a real and dynamic way.
A verger is a lay minister who, at the invitation of the Rector, assists the clergy in the preparation and conduct of public worship, especially in the marshaling of processions. We are thankful to our Verger Ministry. These dedicated volunteers lead an important role in every worship service. A verger organizes and leads the procession into and out of the chancel and are responsible for all details in a service that are not liturgical. A verger must be a confirmed Episcopalian and interested and willing to be committed to the ministry. Knowledge about the altar guild, Eucharistic ministers, crucifers, acolytes, lectors, and sound system are needed as well.
