Our program is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for the children and families involved in this ministry. Children will be engaged in daily experiences that foster a love for learning in a secure environment surrounded by the love of God.

The St. Margaret’s Preschool philosophy is to nurture each child as they grow developmentally, socially, academically and spiritually.

St. Margaret’s Preschool follows a literacy, faith-based curriculum. Classrooms have themes that are built around popular children’s books that foster a love for reading and learning. The curriculum includes a print-rich environment, center time activities, hands-on art experiences, exposure to early math concepts, gross motor activities, circle time, music and movement fun.

 

St. Margaret’s Preschool has a highly qualified, dedicated staff with cumulative teaching experience exceeding 130 years.

 

St. Margaret’s Preschool offers classes for ages 2 through 5. All children must be appropriate age on or before August 31^st.

 

Our twos classes have two full-time teachers with a 4:1 student/teacher ratio.

Our threes and fours classes have two full-time teachers with a 7:1 student/teacher ratio.

St. Margaret’s Preschool operates from 9:00am to 12:45pm, Monday through Thursday. Our program follows the Union County Public Schools calendar. There will be no make-up days for inclement weather.

A schedule of daily routines will be posted in each classroom and will consist of activities that build security and independence. Your child’s day will include free play, outdoor play, circle time, arts and crafts, snack, music and movement, lunch, faith based lessons and small group time. A music program is offered once a week for all age groups by a qualified music teacher. Chapel is led by Deacon Susie Bruno once a week for our threes and fours age groups.

* There will be no partial tuition refunds in the event of unplanned closings, scheduled holidays and/or inclement weather.

To ensure a safe, secure entrance and departure for your children, the preschool adheres to a carpool policy. This policy requires all ages to be escorted to and from the car during both drop off and pick up by preschool staff.

 

We invite you to tour our facility and learn more about our preschool program. Tours are offered during the preschool year by contacting the director prior to visiting.  Please call the Preschool Office at (704) 243-3523 ext. 1105 to schedule.  Visitors should park at the front of the church with the circle drive.  Please ring the doorbell on the silver pad to the right of the brown doors and let the church office know you are here for a preschool tour.

2012-2013 Preschool Registration Information

 

All students must have the following to become registered:

·                 Completed registration form

·                 The Children's Medical Report Form, including current immunization record

·                 Paid registration fee (cash/check).  Registration Fee ($100 per child/$75 per additional
children). There is no supply fee.

 

Please note: The registration fee is non-refundable. The registration fee guarantees a place for your child in the program and helps provide supplies for each classroom.

New Potential Students
Parents are encouraged to please call the preschool office to ensure that your child's class is available and not on a waiting list prior to submitting the registration form.
