Welcome to St.Margaret's Preschool!
We are glad you are here. Our program is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for the children and families involved in this ministry. Children will be engaged in daily experiences that foster a love for learning in a safe, nurturing environment surrounded by the love of God. Our mission is to provide a solid foundation of christian values that focus on trusting in God and knowing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Program Information- St. Margaret's Preschool offers classes for ages 18 months to 4 years and runs September through May. The school week is Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 12:45pm. Our program follows the Union County Public Schools traditional calendar.
Curriculum Information- St. Margaret's Preschool uses a literacy- based curriculum in all classes to build a love for reading, and to promote early literacy skills. Each class builds a theme around a piece of quality literature and provides many "hands-on" activities to meet the physical, emotional, social and academic needs of the child. Children are offered a variety of centers to explore reading, math, art , building, imagination and more.
St. Margaret's Preschool is a faith based program that shares Bible stories, prayers, and blessings with the children on a daily basis. Our 3's and 4's classes attend a weekly chapel.
Toddler Class- This program is designed for ages 18 months to 24 months. Children engage in developmentally age appropriate activities and learn to socialize with friends. It is offered on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 9:00-12:45pm. Children should be able to walk and stay awake for the program. Parents provide diapers, a labeled sippy cup, and a child-friendly and healthy lunch.
Two Year Old Class-This class is for children who will turn two years old by August 31st.Teachers will engage children in many hands-on learning experiences throughout the day. It is offered on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00-12:45pm. Parents provide diapers, a labeled sippy cup, and a child-friendly and healthy lunch. Teachers will work with children as they learn to master potty training. The focus of the curriculum is on socialization, independence, and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
Three Year Old Class- This class is for children who will turn three years old by August 31st. It is offered on Tuesday/ Wednesday/Thursday from 9:00-12:45pm. There is an option to add a fourth day on Mondays. Children need to be potty-trained before starting the program. This class focuses on engaging children in hands-on learning through centers, manipulatives, and art activities. Preschool curriculum includes a strong focus on literacy skills, writing experiences, early math concepts and faith-based lessons. Children will attend a weekly chapel.
Four Year Old Class- This class is for children who will turn four years old by August 31st. It is offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00-12:45pm. Children need to be fully potty-trained. Preschool Curriculum includes a strong focus on literacy skills, writing experiences, early math concepts and faith-based lessons. Children will attend a weekly chapel. Teachers offer a hands-on approach to preparing for Kindergarten.

There are two teachers for each classroom and will not exceed the maximum group size listed above.
St. Margaret's Preschool Summer Fun Program
The Summer Fun program is offered for ages two through four years old. Three and four year olds need to be potty trained. Each week is filled with fun summer time themes.
