Outreach

“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:13

Saint Margaret’s Outreach & Missions ministry was established to spread the love of Jesus Christ into the community at large- locally, nationally and internationally. This ministry offers numerous ways for parishioners to give their time, talent and treasure.

Our parishioners’ skill sets and resources are used to create and execute programs and projects to impact others. Lives of others are improved by providing food, clothing, prayer and other resources to those in need. Saint Margaret’s provides opportunities for all ages and abilities to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. We are blessed to work with and support local, national and international organizations that provide opportunities for positive change in our world.

On a local level we partner with a broad range of area organizations within the Union County community. Our partnerships include the Community Shelter of Union County, Heart for Monroe, Fixing it for Christ, Turning Point (a domestic violence shelter), Loaves & Fishes of Union County and more.

We work with nationally known groups such as Operation Christmas Child, Kairos Prison Ministry and Rise Against Hunger. We are also able to provide monetary donations for national and international disaster efforts through Episcopal Relief & Development.

On a global level we have established an ongoing relationship with our companion Diocese, the Diocese of Costa Rica. We have sent multiple teams of youth and adults to the country for summer service trips.

Whatever your interest in outreach, Saint Margaret’s will connect you to a place to serve.
