Pastoral Care: Intercessory Prayer

- Intercessory Prayer
St. Margaret's is a house built on prayer. It is through prayer that we center our lives on the Divine, and work to be in continual conversation with God our Father and our Provider. With our prayers, we fall on our knees and petition God for His Guidance, His strength, and His presence in our lives. In prayer, we lift our very hearts to God, offering our selves, our souls, and our bodies to His use and His purposes.
St. Margaret’s is a church in constant prayer. During the Eucharist, prayer intercessors are available for personal prayer at the side rail. On Wednesday mornings, prayers are offered for the church, its leaders, and for those in pain, suffering, or any other need or adversity. The Vestry of St. Margaret’s meets regularly, and their work is always centered and surrounded by prayer. Our Wednesday weekly Mass offers healing prayers and anointing for the sick. We believe that prayer is not an exercise, but a necessity; a necessity to turn our lives to God and to seek His will and healing power in our lives. It is through prayer that all decisions are made in the church, and it is through our common life together in prayer that we believe St. Margaret’s has been guided and formed over the years.
If you have any needs, please let us know. We want to pray for you. Your needs are important to us, and be assured that they are important to God. At St. Margaret’s, we place our entire trust in the Risen Lord. Prayer is where that begins.

cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness.” Matthew 9:35
