Saint Margaret’s Choir
Saint Margaret’s Choir is a group of male and female voices from within the parish who come together to rehearse and participate in the varied liturgies of the church. Music has always been an integral part of the Anglican worship tradition, and the Saint Margaret’s Choir is a vital component of our weekly worship of God. The choir rehearses once a week on Wednesday night, and they gather during the Education hour on Sunday mornings to prepare for the 10:00 Mass. There are also several special services throughout the year that the choir serves as an active component of the liturgy, including Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Day. The choir is led by Mrs. Libby Tilson, organist and choirmaster, who can be reached via email at choir@saintmargarets.net.
Children’s Choirs
Saint Margaret’s has two children’s choirs, ranging from age four through elementary school. The choirs rehearse weekly, and offer several special anthems and other musical offerings throughout the calendar year. Children are a vital part of parish life at Saint Margaret’s, and their active participation in the church’s liturgies is both important and formative. There is nothing that warms the heart quite like the sound of children’s voices raised in worship of the Risen Lord. The children’s choirs of Saint Margaret’s offer the opportunity for the children of our parish to actively engage in the worship of the church, to fully participate in its liturgies, and to lift their voices among the angels in praise of the Risen Christ.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20
